Hello
My name is Nigel from Shifnal, Shropshire.
I bought VIN 3981 a few months back from DMC Midwest. She has now arrived in the UK and she is in the safe hands of Chris N. I'm hoping to be picking her up late next week (hopefully). I've never been close up to a De Lorean, so obviously I can't wait to pick her up from Essex. Hopefully, these pictures have worked.
Many thanks to Chris Williams for his help.
Looking forward to meeting other D owners in Manchester in a few weeks.
Nigel Jones
P.S. Anyone know where I can get a personalised car cover from?

car looks great Nigel, does it need much work? Looks very good in the pictures.
Can't believe you've bought a DeLorean having never been close to one before!!
Have fun

Never a bad idea to tie the louvers down, but don't leave any material rubbing on the stainless , or it will "polish it".

Nigel,
Im in Telford with VIN 5921! Nice to have another owner close. Were you out recently by any chance. Someone in my office at work asked if I had been out recently as they saw a Delorean. I said wasn't me and wasn't aware of any close to me!

Congrats Nige!
You can drive them on the roads with a temporary insurance cover note (free upon request) as long as it has a valid MOT. I did this with mine when it first arrived.

Does that work even if there is no number plate at all because she isn't registered yet?? I can see the feds being all over that rolling along!! I only ask because mine is insured and MOT'd but i'm having major hassle registering her and I'd love to blast her about on the roads while I'm waiting.

You're allowed to drive it to and from an MOT centre so I'm guessing as you now have valid MOT, you haven't really got an excuse unless you know the station well and can waggle that you needed some extra work taken care of. I would be patient and just wait buddy. Insurance companies are arses at the best of times, don't give them even more excuses

Oddly enough Kris recently drove his from Holyhead to Durham area with no number plates at all and was never stopped once, guess he was just lucky, I'm sure I wouldn't have been so lucky

Yea just lucky there! In all fairness, I'd take the risk on not being done as cops love them, but if someone ties their eyes off the road and swipes you, I bet your insurance company wouldn't be so friendly if it wasn't an MOT visit.
