One of my mates from work still lives out in one of my favourite countries, Korea.
He recently visited a car museum there and saw this little beauty. So he took this photo and sent it to me. It's the first DeLorean he's ever seen in the flesh. Unfortunately he's not clued up enough that us lot would want to know the vin and other such details, so this still remains a mystery to me I'm afraid.

01985 is in the Samsung museum in Seoul.
This banana yellow on is in a museum in the island of Jeju - seems to be a bit like the isle of Wight - bit of a holiday destination. haven't been able to get the the vin yet

Well, clearly your friend forgot his phone/wallet/sunglasses and needs to go back. And while he is there he can vault that fence and get the vin.

I talked to my mate in Korea on the phone this morning. He says this is the car in the Jeju museum. He's got no plans to revisit the museum in order to get the VIN# for us, but another mutual friend of ours (a Korean chap) could be persuaded to get the information for us. Either by visiting there himself, or getting the details via telephone direct from the museum.
I'll work on him a bit.

You know, it's funny. I lived there so long (over 2.5 yrs) that these funny guys don't even trigger a thought now. But yeah, Koreans love these mannequins. They're everywhere over there lol! (Still working on vin#)

...I've had word back from another Korean friend. I got him to get in touch with Jeju museum and ask about the VIN# of the car. Unfortunately, they refused to divulge this, especially over the telephone, due to museum confidentiality rules.
BUT, my friend was being led to believe from the conversation with the museum that this is the same car which was on show in Seoul at some point before....therefore, he, and I, are being led to believe that there is only one DeLorean in South Korea and this is it. So if other sources are correct, then this should be VIN#01985.
This is the best I can do until someone I know actually visits again and sees the VIN plate for themselves...

Thank your friend for trying anyway.
While this car may have been on display in Seoul at some point, I don't think it is the one at the Samsung museum. Apart from the act that it is painted yellow, with matching wheels and non-RWL tyres, the Samsung museum still shows it on their website
