I know what you mean Martin,
My Kia Sportarge 4X4 ( MK 4 I think) 2 ltr turbo diesel engine, 6 speed Auto box, weighs about 2 tonnes and goes like stink! …and does about 38 MPG. Now into its 3rd year of its 7 year warranty and never missed a beat.

Great cars, I have had our kids taxi (2008 Sedona) for about 6 years now. Nothing special to drive but does what it says on the tin, with an 9 year old and 2 five year old's to cart about it's great. Though may be time for a change soon.

I only bought the Kia, because the Dacia Duster was not out then! ( and they don't do an Auto)
Both brilliant cars. Like Chris W, reliability and practicality are my main concerns for our daily drivers….and safety of course. I'm not into badge snobbery at all.
Its gives me quite a kick knowing that my reg number is worth twice as much as the car its on! And it doesn't depreciate.

And the rest of the car:

Though the price seems to have gone up it was £1100 earlier this week!
Probably because they have twigged it's from the famous GMC DeLorean
