Ah right, may have been another of his shirts. I suppose with import tax and royal mails handling fee, it would be quite steep!

Another update for those interested! Stock purists, look away now.

Couldn't have done this without the expertise/knowledge of Mr Bozzy, so first off, cheers mate 8-)

So first thing's first, a quick photo of the previous wiring. It was absolutely fine and did the job, but I liked the deeper colours of the screen used car and the hose was a little on the small side, so we went to work!

Then we started to remove the old wiring, hose, and clamps.

Then we realised that some of the screws were different sizes, so off to B&Q to get a fresh pack of self tappers and some more cable ties, as I had underestimated how many we would need!

Back to work. Removing the side wires and cleaning up under those areas that can't normally be.
[Image: LdwGOEjDjFZTxaMOvMUFpp67w2CtKhip6Jgp3i-g...02-h527-no]

Our first attempt at getting the angle right on the flux box hose.

First hose in loosely.

First set of wires attached to make one side complete! Brew time

Then off to the sides.

Then I noticed the clamps on the rear deck under the struts. Off they come to access and replace these 3.

New clamps on this area and struts attached back on. Just need to replace that thin split hose with some thicker non split soon.

Then onto the rear. The current hose and wires were cable tied to some exhaust brackets. Purists, look away, Mr Drill wants to come play! Wink
[Image: IMG_20140208_165907_1.jpg]

We then used some reference photos of the A car to get the clips, hose, and wiring in the right place. They had to be slightly out due to the film car having the flux boxes higher and the exhaust venting out the side, but I'm more than happy with this!

A couple more to the interior!

Why not add a bit of Vivaaaaaaa Las Vegas to the finishing shot? Wink
[Image: IMG_20140208_204256.jpg]

Oh, and for the keen eyed, yes the purple p-clips don't have slotted clamps, that's on purpose. I had the originals (cheers mate) but as you can see from this photo, they squash and lose their shape when fully clamped, and also don't have UV protection like these ones do. Also, the wedge is better positioned to have a cleaner finish.

I wouldn't have ever drilled the first hole, but since it already had lots anyway... a few more won't harm! Smile You would never turn one of these back to stock when done like this. If they lost value I could sort of understand the concern, but with the popularity of BTTF, they never will which is nice. Regardless of any monetary thoughts, I would have got one any way as I had my heart set it on for years.

You sure will this year. If you wanted a day out with the kids and wanted to pop over, give me a shout any time! 8)

totally agree, and BTTF cars will always be popular, especially when they are done as
accurately as yours.
