ILM is not a number plate that would have been issued by DVLA, and I dont think I've
ever seen an Irish plate starting ILM either, so I guess its a made up number with a
reference to 1955 in BTTF-esque way?

Yeah, I forgot that GB plates don't use the letter 'I'
Other cars in his portfolio have valid plate numbers, such as the Golf, that checks back through RAC as, well, a Golf, so I thought he was painting owners cars with actual number plates.
He also has a sketch of a D with the plate MJI 1001 (which the RAC says is on a 2011 Kia). I know there is a D with MJI 1981, so perhaps he just changes a couple of characters
