DeLorean feature in May 2012 'Retro Cars' magazine
#1
excellent article in the latest issue of 'Retro Cars' magazine, featuring the DMC-12 that you
can hire through 'Great Escape Classic Car Hire'.

A really good read, which says "Let me clear something up straight away, if you're expecting
this feature to read like your typical pompous classic car review, comparing John Z DeLorean's
enigmantic stainless steel motorcar to its period rivals, then think again. I dont know about you,
but I dont really care how the DMC-12 looks or drives in comparison to a period Lotus Esprit or
mid-80's Porsche, who does? In many ways its like comaring a cup of Costa Coffee's finest frothy
brew with a mug brimmed full of milky Mellow Birds instant - no competition"

Now THATS my kind of motoring review

Its a really good 5 page read, and its nice for once to read an article that doesnt bang on about
tax payers money, drug deals or other negatives Smile

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are not.

Going to try to!

Was thinking about the classic car show at Ragley Hall as its only round the corner from
Me but anything else all depends on my work schedule, which is unpredictable at best.

Good to hear this feature being spoke of here! Mr Green

I shot the photos for the feature (and pitched the idea to Simon the editor!). My luck was in when we discovered that we both had a mutual love of the DeLorean, and Great Escape were happy for the feature to go ahead!

Thoroughly enjoyed the day, shooting, driving and just being in and around one of my all time faves. Awesome car, and made me realise just how much I still want one Mr Green
"Never meet your heros?" Thankfully that wasn't the case here!

Here's a few pix from the shoot....

It's available in Belgium too as of now ... and I went out to get it offcourse!

It's good to see the DeLorean in an all positive daylight, instead of banging about what JZD did after the company collapsed. It is indeed a good read and some great shots in there!
If you're gonna build a timemachine, why not do it with style !

So impressed I even bought a copy... first mainstream car mag I've bought in quite a while.

I too bought a copy (which was surprisingly hard to find) as I always love to read any article about a D.

The shots were brilliant but the writing wasn't quite up to the standard of the more established publications. The annoyingly common mistake of "I am sat" as opposed to the correct "I am sitting" turned up as it tends to do increasingly these days, but otherwise really good.
