i think a good inspection from any of us in the knowwould confirm if this was original trimming.
certainly the seats dont look it (cloth?) and do not match. The other trim could be, and i would guess Dave H would probably know for sure.
looks a nice car.
were not the kuwait cars different spec, engine etc?
overpriced too

Although not the expert on the Kuwait cars I 'think' the only real difference was the trimming.
However time will tell as to what the price will be (assuming none of the normal Ebay idiots get involved  )

There was a car floating around some time ago that was PAINTED silver with a red interior. That looks like the car.

yes i remember it
and it was for sale for plenty £££.
but we all know as a painted car will be worth much less. Very odd it was painted silver!. Presumably painted a different colour in kuwait, then someone wanted it to look from a distance like a stainless D.
in the advert it does look shiny..could be the camera pics.

Yep this is the same car, painted silver, a very odd finish if you ask me.
Pulling a lot of money for such an unusual car, makes you wonder who is actually bidding, I'm a little sceptical.

I've scoured my hard drive for the photo "reddmc2.jpg" but to no avail, I think that was a casualty of my old scsi hard disk.

Hi Martin,
Was it this one:

Or maybe this one:
http://www.beepmycar.com/Bilar/gallery/i...so806x-002
I saved them with different file names so not sure which one is 'reddmc2.jpg' but they definitely came from the old DOC website from way back in the day
I believe there was at least one car trimmed in red at the factory but this isn't one of them. The shade of red is wrong (the official DMC shade was more of a burgundy colour) and the
whole steering wheel would have been trimmed in red rather than leaving the 3 spokes black. That to me is a sign of a standard steering wheel that's been re-trimmed.
It seems that someone bid top dollar for a car with a non-original interior.
