Following DOC Eurotec Weekend.....
#1
hi guys,

it was great to finally spend time with people who love the car as much as i do. Even my dad who i brought along enjoyed the weekend.

Too many names to mention but thanks all of you for your advice and experience. It was great to spend time with you all and check out your cars, building up my basic knowledge of the car and how it works.

I have wanted one for ages and after spending the weekend with them it makes me want one even more. Getting to do the scenic run with Alistar in pilot 25 was awesome and a great experience arriving up to the house with the gullwing doors open. Thanks to Matthew for taking my dad.

After much talking it finally convienced me that now im serious and want to get one so that i can work on it and bring it to the eurotec next year.

I decided on a grey manual and if and of you guys see one on ebay or hear of one becoming available then please let me know. It would be nice to have a running one but i dont mind doing work over a few years to get the interior and little cosmetic bits done. At the moment looking to spend about £12K on the car.

Look forward to spending a bit more time on the forum in the future.

Search here for Deloreans. Some at a reasonable price. http://ww2.collectorcartrader.com/searchresults.php . Glad you enjoyed your weekend. Hope to see you in August. Keep an eye out on dmctalk.com and I recommend Pembrook Marine Services if you do import

I paid $900 to get my car from Missouri to New Jersey. Ohio is half that distance so it isn't a bad area. Let me know how you get on

In a DeLorean... ? Ive not got that 2015 Hover conversion yet Smile

Maybe hook up with someone whos going from your way and get a lift over .. could share fuel cost etc ...

Its always best going in convoy when theres a few people going imo...
