Air intake ducts
#1
Hi,
I'm tidying the engine bay and I'm after the ducting for the air box, the one that goes by the coolant bottle & the wider one underneath.
Did someone say they had them from Volvo, what are the part numbers ?or is there a similar material that can be used?
Cheers,
Stu

Hi Mike,
I was going for NOS, but thats interesting to know, I take it there's no hot air ducting from the exhaust on this set up.

No... all that comes off.. it was only on the car to cope with very cold climates... an intake air 'restrictive' part so take this off and then see what a difference this makes in performance and looks Wink

The ducting on the Ford Sierra is an almost exact match to the original.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are not.

Hi stu,

The Volvo part No is 464940 price £18.40p

Thats the STANDARD silver flex spiral wound hose you see next to the Water Bottle.

The Volvo part is actually steel not aluminium, just like the DMC part. Much stronger and looks superb.

Best Regards
