Hello all.
I remember in your forum there was info about performance brakes (and also someone making them) but now with the private access i cant find them anymore.
What do you suggest for improving at least the front brakes?
I found this kit for the front brakes, will it be ok for the delorean without particolar modify?

PS how does the private access work? when you was discuting about the private section i undestood only the cross reference section and a pair of others would be restricted, but i see also the tech session is now restricted..what a pity

The private areas are DOC (UK) member areas. and are viewable by all DOC members, however you dont have to live in the UK to be a member!
I think Ed DMC Europe does uprated front discs, as does SpecialT auto. I believe MartinG has had a set of HIgh Spec ones put on to one of his cars, but they were very expensive. (£1700 I believe) you could look hear:

It depends on what you've done to your car.
If it's a standard engine or a stage 1 then as long as the brake callipers and master cylinder are good then fitting good quality pads, like EBC Red stuff's, will make the car stop very quickly. I had these in my D and I could brake very hard from high speeds and it was fine.
The pads cam out at around £80 for a set and is a lot cheaper than a calliper update IMHO.

With Dan's advice this is what I did; new (OE) discs, red stuff pads, rebuilt (OE) calipers and new S/S flexi hoses. And I find it works fine now, especially having adjusted the caliper push rod. I do wonder if a 50/50 master cylinder would be better though with all the weight above the back wheels?

thank you for the answer. Really the infos for the upgraded brakes are not for me, i have normal prv, but for a friend of mine who bought a PRV turbo and plan to put it in the car.
In my car the brakes works very well, the previous owner did a brake rebuild with new pads, new 50/50 pump and the calipers cleaned and upgrated to DOT5 . I putted the stainless steel line.
The others who tried my car say it brake very good ^^ compared to their delo...
I dont know if the 50/50 pump is really better: maybe it seems better because normally i have a bit more power on the front... but last summer on the wet i lost the front of my car.. well, i had some very bad tires so maybe it was not the pump the problem... but who know ^^ it appenead so suddenly

The D's breaks can be very good, as mentioned befor make sure you have good pads and that the OEM disks and Calipers are good, then the most important thing is good tyres!
It's all very well stopping the wheels turning but if the rubber in contact with the road isn't any good then you're wasting your time and money on the brakes!
