'Normally' you would only change the outers as the inners are used for main beam only and the beam pattern is not as fussey as dipped beam operation, however I'm not sure it would be an issue to change the inners as well so long as your not using these as dipped as well!

Depending on how you want the amber lights to work, you can disconnect the feed to these thats for the sidelights (indicators stil will work) and use this for your new sidelights or have both, though this can be frowned upon! As wrote Martn G is the one to ask as I cant remember what wires do what off the top of my head!
