All.
Has anyone got any recommendations for a UK based car tranportation service, that you've used?
I'm looking really for a reliable, insured, 'back of truck/trailer' type service....

what sort of distances/location are you talking John?
We know a company that hire a car trailer for about £30 a day, obviously tho
you need a towcar (like we have)

I'm trying to find a way to retieve my car from Canvey Island, so ~250m from there to home.
I've damaged my arm, so I've been told not to drive for a bit, so a self-tow wouldn't help this time, even if I was lucky enough to own something upto the job....

I've heard of Chris Huxtable, he's very good and reliable from what I've heard.

Thanks for the prompt response. I've checked out the one page website, with the picture of two D's on the transporter... looks like a winner.

I've also used a guy called Robbie Stone - local to here, but whichever way you cut it, anyone will have to make a complete return trip. Might be worth a call, lovely chap, specialises in classics, and he's moved a couple of cars for me. 01332 883462.
