Can you transfer Tax Disc from one car to another?

Can you transfer the remaining tax disc months of a identical engine size and fuel type car (basically identical cars) to another? Or is it not worth it?

Tax discs are not transferable between vehicles and only apply to the vehicle for which they were issued.

You can cash in your tax disc and declare a car SORN using a V14 form which you can get from the Post Office or your local DVLA office. You then have to buy a new tax disc for the replacement vehicle.
