Hi All
unfortunately i have now sold Vin 1621. is collected on Wednesday.
the credit crunch has hit, and need to raise funds.
i will stay as a member, and will be going to the NEC in November!.
i think this will not be the last of my D ownership, but for the time being has to be.
i have also cancelled my lockup for the car (£46 a month!).
Regards
Steve

sorry to hear that Steve, but I'm sure it wont be long before you've got another set
of DeLorean keys in your hand.
Hope the car has found a good home and that it continues to be known to the Club

Yeah, sad news fella. Its hit us all in some way or another. I dont think you're alone, others including myself have thought about it already. Im holding off as long as possible.
Ive said id never sell mine no matter what, but sometimes there arent any other choices are there?

must admit, thought i would not sell.
and the car raises quite a few memories.
when i collected originally, a workmate and i had quite an adventure Chris P's at 5.30 in the morning to borrow his trailer, then down to the south coast to collect the car with no handbrake, clutch or foot brakes! got back 10.30 pm.
then drilled a winch in my garage floor, and handwinched into the garage. nearly 3.5 years to get on the road.
Nothing like seeing and collecting your first D is there.
sadly the mate died last year.
i have many people not paying my invoices, and need to pay bills!.
when things improve maybe i will be living the dream again!.

That sounded like a fun day out! lol
And yeah, it IS one of the most memorable days, picking up your first DeLorean. Its just like being little kid getting ALL the presents you ever wanted from santa.
Hope you get to live the dream again fella.

Hi
yes it will stay in the UK.
i think the new owner has looked by so maybe he will join.
i better not give names for confidential reasons, but he seems keen on owning such a piece of history.
it is currently with Chris N having a seat trim and a few other jobs.
Will be top notch as the trimmer is the same chap who did the pilot car!.
Shame i will noit get to sit in it!!.
