Assuming both PC's are at the same home address you could have one wireless router that is connected to your phone line. If one of the PC's is sat near the router it could be hardwired to the router. If not you will need a wirelss network card installed in each of the PC's so that they can talk to the router. Once connected you can transfer files between the systems!
Bluetooth isn't recommended for this type of configuration due to the limited range and data per second that can be transmitted.

The above shows routers with variety of wireless adapters to connect to the PC. Shopping around will allow you find the best setup for your needs. If you don't require your online activity to be high end (eg online games/streaming video) then don't go with the fastest as you won't see much benefit and your wallet will take more of a hammering.

maybe a simpler option would be to burn all the files you want on to CD Rom (assuming you have a CD or DVD writer in your old PC? They are really cheap to buy now anyway), then when you've copied them, just stick the disc in your new pc and save them to your hard drive.
Plus that way, you'll always have a 'back up' of your files in case of hard drive failure (been there, done that :roll: )

lol flash drive, u get them upto artound 4gb of space, u just plug them into a usb port and copy/move files across. There well nifty and cheap too

If you haven't done the file transfer yet, the simplest way is to slave your old hard drive to your new. Take the old hard drive (the one with your data on it) out of the PC, set the jumper at the back to slave, connect it to the IDE cable, connect the power cable, boot up your new PC and your slaved drive will show up as drive D (presuming your new drive isn't already partitioned) then simply drag and drop the files you want onto the new drive. When you've finished, shut down, remove the slaved drive, switch the jumper back to master or cable select, replace in the original PC and Bob's your Uncle!
