New game! - Rissy - 18 Sep 2014 I've discovered a new game to play in the run up to the discontinuation of the paper tax disc! it's called: "Try and use the new DVLA tax status checker to see if your DeLorean is successfully covered with valid tax" Now i'll admit it's not the most snappy or catchy of titles, but the game is a lot of fun. I urge you, nae, DARE you to try. I guarantee a 100% failure rate. ![]() LINK: https://www.vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/ Re: New game! - Chris P - 18 Sep 2014 Your not wrong!! I came across this site doing retro tax discs. http://www.poplargreg.com I think we can have some fun with these. I am thinking of getting a October '85 disc  or how about a November 1955? Nick H Re: New game! - Rissy - 18 Sep 2014 jwrayth Wrote:What do I win? How the foxtrot!? Lol! Respect. Try it with my reg...see if it's only some of our registrations it doesn't like. Re: New game! - Rissy - 18 Sep 2014 Yup. That's it. It don't like my reg. yours is fine. Damn you. You win! Ha-ha!! Re: New game! - bjbrownie - 18 Sep 2014 I had to put in Delorian to find mine! Anymore? ![]() Re: New game! - Chris P - 19 Sep 2014 Sorry, don't know how to do a screan shot!…But got there, even if it doesn't seem to recognise May82….as its first registration date. [ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND] Re: New game! - jwrayth - 19 Sep 2014 So the real game is; How many different names does the DVLA have for the DMC-12? Not the DVLA, but when I first got insurance I had to keep requesting my certificate be replaced as they kept doing it wrong ( DMZ, DeLoraan, DeLorian, Delorean-12, DMC). Re: New game! - Rissy - 19 Sep 2014 I've tried everything. Every permutation I can think of. Not even putting in my V5C number will work with any of them. Oh well. Tax-free 7yrs early doesn't sound too bad to me. Re: New game! - Dangermouse - 19 Sep 2014 Chris P Wrote:Sorry, don't know how to do a screan shot!…But got there, even if it doesn't seem to recognise May82….as its first registration date. Chris, was 5638 sold in one of the various auctions? Was Mr patterson related to the company in some way? Re: New game! - Chris P - 19 Sep 2014 Yes, Mr. Patterson was a solicitor working with the factory whilst in receivership. The cars had to be registerd in NI as they would not not do them in the the rest of the UK. He did most of the RHD's |
