anyone got $600k burning a hole....? - Guinney1971 - 13 Oct 2011 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/film ... ction.html Re: anyone got $600k burning a hole....? - Dan Willis - 13 Oct 2011 I'd be interested to know the history of the car - it's unlikely to be an original given what's left of them (restored or otherwise) so $600k seems, at best, only if someone rich wants to help the charity (and I hope someone does!). Re: anyone got $600k burning a hole....? - MikeWard - 13 Oct 2011 For those who are interested, it's the part III off road car. http://www.bttf3delorean.com I think I'll just save my $600k, I'd rather have a £110 angle drive Re: anyone got $600k burning a hole....? - JohnC - 13 Oct 2011 As much as I love the DeLorean, and the BTTF films, if I'd had unlimited funds I'd have bid on the original Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, which was lovingly maintained by Pierre Picton from when the film was made until it sold last year. The DeLorean is famous and recognised, but I'd suggest not as much as Chitty... and Chitty made less than $500k, but had been touted at "offers over £1m". Seems at odds with the way Universal has been treating the cars on the backlot tour all these years :? JohnC Re: anyone got $600k burning a hole....? - Chris Williams - 13 Oct 2011 I tend to agree with John on this, realistically 600k   Probably wont even get near half of that. Chris |
