DeLorean on Ebay @ £13,995 (starting bid) - Chris Williams - 19 Jul 2010 DeLorean on Ebay in Kent with a starting bid of £13,995 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1981-Delorean-DMC ... 4cf089c285 Sellers website and more pictures: http://www.godinbanks.com/stocklist.html Cheers, Chris Re: DeLorean on Ebay @ £13,995 (starting bid) - Rissy - 19 Jul 2010 Looks very nice from the outside, a bit of work needing done to the headliners, and of course, the cracked binnacle. All the body panels looks tidy. I'm guessing its the sorry state of the way the engine looks that is bringing the price down, but otherwise, not seeing the chassis of course, it looks like a good price for someone to pay for their first "do her up 'er" DMC. Normally speaking, £14k should get you a road worthy, taxed and mot'd example, so maybe this one is not too far away from that goal, for starts at least... Re: DeLorean on Ebay @ £13,995 (starting bid) - stunned_monkey - 19 Jul 2010 Check out the alternator position! Bodge-tastic! Exhaust re-routed to accomodate Seats look like they might be John Hervey's efforts. Fuel hoses all over the shop (among all the other glaring wear and tear in the engine bay) suggesting it's been bodged up to run This has been for sale for a while, it definitely doesn't look or feel right. Edit: Blimey, they're only up the road from our workshop... Re: DeLorean on Ebay @ £13,995 (starting bid) - Rissy - 20 Jul 2010 stunned_monkey Wrote:Check out the alternator position! Bodge-tastic! Makes you wonder if this, and other things are attributed to that?...perhaps. My guess is it's a Volvo setup grafted to fit the DeLorean because nobody had access to a replacement Renault alternator in the states at that time. It's vin 2896 which would make it Aug/Sep 81, and if you believe some people, close to the quality high point (!) of Oct 81. Re: DeLorean on Ebay @ £13,995 (starting bid) - ayr41 - 20 Jul 2010 On my search for a Delorean as Martin said it has been up for sale for a while on Car and Classic I believe 70k on the clock. I knew my car had something good going for it!!  Chris Re: DeLorean on Ebay @ £13,995 (starting bid) - Guinney1971 - 21 Jul 2010 I think going by what Martin has said, and what you'd need to spend to make it "right", this car would need to be sub £10k...... I remember seeing it on Car and Classic - wasnt there a thread on here about it before? If its the one I'm thinking of, it came to the UK around 1990 and has been off the road since about 1991. Re: DeLorean on Ebay @ £13,995 (starting bid) - Stuart Rees - 24 Aug 2010 This one has gone to France.... Looks like it needs a fair bit of work too. http://www.delorean.fr/forum/viewtopic. ... &start=195 Re: DeLorean on Ebay @ £13,995 (starting bid) - Chris Williams - 24 Aug 2010 Odd exhaust there, probably explains why the A/C belts are missing Chris Re: DeLorean on Ebay @ £13,995 (starting bid) - stunned_monkey - 24 Aug 2010 The manifolds have been reversed and the correct alternator mount on the timing cover has been hacked off (it would get in the way) |
