Re: Any one else thinking of doing a BTTF conversion? - Deloreanyorkshire - 08 Feb 2015 Well I eventually got the side windows out . Hopefully I will never be involved in taking out another window ever again - what a pain. After trying numerous ways of trying to cut through the black silicon I found the easiest way was to heat the silicon up with a hair dryer and then cut through it with a Stanley knife. 3 hours, 7 blades and knackered hands later the windows are all out lukebrynycz Wrote:I really like the effect you have here with the Mallory showing through the metalized spray. If it stays stuck then brill! It might be harder wearing that I thought but with it having such thin layers and no primer it might pop in the sun. If it does, I'm sure I'll have some spare that you can have mate. Thanks Luke, although, would you believe that I moved them while doing the windows and dropped them outside on concrete. Unfortunately they are all scratched now :-( I reckon Doc brown must have dropped something while doing his conversion so I have decided that my will have the battered, dropped, used effect :-) Re: Any one else thinking of doing a BTTF conversion? - Chris P - 16 Feb 2015 I'm not sure if this BTTF conversion has surfaced before…..but its on eBay……and very cheap! http://r.ebay.com/ORdJX7 Re: Any one else thinking of doing a BTTF conversion? - lukebrynycz - 16 Feb 2015 I didn't realise 'S' was selling up..? When on the car you can hardly tell ![]() The finishing details on both side pontoons have yet to be completed. Re: Any one else thinking of doing a BTTF conversion? - Deloreanyorkshire - 30 Mar 2015 Few more pics Re: Any one else thinking of doing a BTTF conversion? - Rissy - 30 Mar 2015 Looking good! Cant be that far from finished now is it? I know there are lots of little bits, but as a car that looks like a BTTF car! Chris Re: Any one else thinking of doing a BTTF conversion? - Deloreanyorkshire - 31 Mar 2015 Thanks Chris It's getting close to completion ![]() I think the UK is in need of a good BTTF flux band bender. ![]() |
