RE: Project Cars @ BHCC - Chris P - 03 Apr 2018 Having studied the photo's I've got a good feeling about it. As it will be stored fairly local to me, so am looking forward to a closer look at it. I've got a spare engine if it does need it...but I recon the old one will be fine. Not many around anywhere at that price Matt! You did well. RE: Project Cars @ BHCC - Chris P - 04 Apr 2018 I've found the secret locations where Beverly Hills Car club sources its cars.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGRTkWH_-Bg RE: Project Cars @ BHCC - Dangermouse - 04 Apr 2018 Ha. I remember many of them. RE: Project Cars @ BHCC - Dangermouse - 05 Apr 2018 Totally going against form, BHCC has just listed another silver gullwing for $140k https://www.beverlyhillscarclub.com/2012-mercedes-benz-sls-amg-gullwing-coupe-c-8133.htm Still "mechanically sound" though RE: Project Cars @ BHCC - Chris Williams - 05 Apr 2018 Quote:Still "mechanically sound" thoughCertainly have a wide stock/customer base Chris RE: Project Cars @ BHCC - Chris P - 05 Apr 2018 I do like the Merc's . Not too bad a price. RE: Project Cars @ BHCC - Dangermouse - 30 May 2018 By my rough calculations this is their 100th car, and a fitting BHCC standard too - photos aren't on the website yet, but a few are floating about.$14750 for a bag of parts without a useable frame https://www.beverlyhillscarclub.com/1982-delorean-dmc-12--c-8727.htm and 101: https://www.beverlyhillscarclub.com/1981-delorean-dmc-12--c-8772.htm much more atypical RE: Project Cars @ BHCC - theningiachicken - 30 May 2018 Jeez that car needs some serious love to get her back to normal but I guess it would be an expensive restoration especially with it needing a new frame RE: Project Cars @ BHCC - Chris Williams - 31 May 2018 Quote:photos aren't on the website yet, but a few are floating about.$14750 for a bag of parts without a useable frameWow, well that is a frame and a half, well actually half a frame! RE: Project Cars @ BHCC - Chris P - 01 Jun 2018 I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole... RE: Project Cars @ BHCC - Matt Clark - 10 Jun 2018 Good lord. https://www.beverlyhillscarclub.com/1982-delorean-dmc-12-c-8727.htm [attachment=341] [attachment=338] [attachment=339] [attachment=340] RE: Project Cars @ BHCC - Chris P - 10 Jun 2018 Ive never seen one so bad they can't get it on the lift! RE: Project Cars @ BHCC - steve.s - 10 Jun 2018 (10 Jun 2018, 19:38)Chris P Wrote: Ive never seen one so bad they can't get it on the lift! hi all i would still consider this as projects are getting fewer and fewer. of course the frame must be real bad...then again if any D has a fair amount of frame rust then it would still need a new frame this bad or not. i have messaged them for pics and also interior....i do wonder if this has been in a flood?. unlike mk1 escorts and others, generally the panels will be okay and the resin body. if interior is not too bad then can be re-coloured etc. we all know this D is going to be worth only a little under that in parts too... to make it viable you would need to be patient and wait for 2nd hand parts... i''ll let you know if i get any more info. Regards Steve RE: Project Cars @ BHCC - Chris Williams - 10 Jun 2018 Quote:i would still consider this as projects are getting fewer and fewer.I think Steve's right, especially if you could get it for a bit less than advertised. It needs a full new frame clearly but IIRC D-Go sells them for 6-7k so long as it sustained no damage on it's way over the pond I think it's a reasonable project. Chris RE: Project Cars @ BHCC - Matt Clark - 11 Jun 2018 Even from the exterior photos I can see thousands worth of bits to replace, though? New fascias, radiator, louvres, right wing, left 3/4 panel is *torn* somehow... I think they'd have to come down a lot more than that, and they weren't super willing to negotiate when I spoke to them. That rusted automatic hasn't moved in 4 months but the price hasn't dropped. |
