Part Needed - CASH REWARD!!! - PJ Grady (Europe) - 04 Mar 2008 All, We're making good progress through the restoration of Pilot 20 - but I really, really want to get the correct steering wheel for the car. The link below shows you pictures of the wheel I want - it's sourced from a different car - but we haven't been able to find out which. http://www.pjgrady.co.uk//GenericConten ... anted.html This is becoming an obsession for us - so I'm offering a £££ reward to anyone who can nail this for us and either provide a wheel for us - or definitively name which car and year it's sourced from. Thanks Darren - Dan6457 - 04 Mar 2008 It reminds me of a peugeot steering wheel... :? - cineman - 04 Mar 2008 it is very similar to the Renault R20 TS steering wheel... maybe renault is the right way to search ^^ ? - Rich Hanlon - 04 Mar 2008 Certainly looks French to me too. I'd been thinking Citroen 9 but then they had single spokes at the time didn't they? Will cogitate... - tracey steele - 04 Mar 2008 you could try these people, but don`t get your hopes up http://www.moto-lita.com/our-products/c ... heels.aspx - Outatime - 04 Mar 2008 It feels more of a Peugeot to me... - Outatime - 04 Mar 2008 A peugeot 309 steering wheel is a very near match - Jonny Jones - 04 Mar 2008 Outatime Wrote:A peugeot 309 steering wheel is a very near matchAgreed, a quick Google shows a similar steering wheel. Long shot, but would it be at all possible to ask Lotus directly? Im sure they have ways of finding out what they used? - Tourettes Tony - 04 Mar 2008 well i haven't got a clue TT - tc ozzie - 04 Mar 2008 id go peougeot its about the same style almost i think my 306 had a simalar wheel but its also s square badge in the mid so good be b l maybe they had some odd wheels on minis or metros or that little renult 5 thing thats simular have a look round the breakers locally theres bound to be a load of wheels hanging about - Dodgy Motor - 04 Mar 2008 Ill tell you what that looks like to me, early 80 peugeot 305. I know because sadly,,I had one  mine was the bog standard estate, with the fan belt that twisted through 90%,,what a shed - Rich Hanlon - 05 Mar 2008 Take it you've seen this? http://www.babbtechnology.com/thecar/Pr ... ompare.htm Doesn't really help though... - other than that there was a black version of the wheel. - delorean12uk - 05 Mar 2008 How about a Zastava Yugo??? - delorean12uk - 06 Mar 2008 I was thinking of this steering wheel but isn't the same, close though Also why I'm on here, this has absolutely nothing to do with this subject but my brother is back with his X, she is a nice girl with a lovely personality. - A Van - 06 Mar 2008 That is too funny...............! It has a French look to it, but as many of you are aware its a Leyland rack...it does have a bit of an Austin feel... Cheers |
